The Ordination of Bishop Christodoulos of Theoupolis (Greek)

In the year 2000, on the Feast Day of St. Eustathios (Sept. 20/Oct.3), the Hieromonk Christodoulos was elevated to the dignity of Hierarch. He was ordained at the Holy Monastery of St. Menas in Anthousa, Greece. He was ordained by Metropolitan Pavlos of America, with the blessings of Archbishop Chrysostomos of Athens and All Greece. The ordination took place in the presence of the entire Holy Synod of the Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece. This program is in GREEK.

Morning and Evening Prayers

Q. Are the prayers in the blue prayer book [A Prayerbook for Orthodox Christians by the Holy Transfiguration Monastery —ed.] compulsory for everyone? I mean their morning prayers and the service of Small Compline. My confessor gave me a special rule but wasn’t clear about whether this replaced the book prayers or was in addition to them.
